My husband likes to travel with me wherever I go. Usually because driving gives me anxiety. For this session, he took me to Prescott. We stayed with my Great Aunt Vicky and roamed the Prescott town by night. At 530am I woke up to drive to Watson Lake to meet the Sterbenz. We hiked through rocky terrain by the lake with their two little ones. It was by far one of my favorite family sessions.

We started this session at 6:30am and arrived home by 2pm. I do not ever shoot in midday because the light becomes too harsh and changes my style of editing. HOWEVER, we decided to make this session a road trip. We began at the Flat Iron Mountain Trail in the Superstition MTs. and continued through to Canyon Lake, pit stops on curvy mountain tops, saw the Theodore Roosevelt Lake, we ate in Globe and made our way home from there. It was pretty epic! So the light was constantly changing, and I found it so fun to work with in all these different locations. OH AND- Congrats Maddie and Dan! I'll see you at the wedding! You both are too much fun!
My friends (neighbors) are leaving! They are off to start their lives in their first home. I will miss them so much being so close. So we decided to do a session to remember their first year married in their lofty apartment.

When my husband took me here this summer, I knew I had to come back with a couple. I drove up at 3am with Anthony and Alycia to Payson, Arizona. It was a two hour drive at most, and we watched the sun come up over the Mogollon Rim. It was romantic in it's own right. I fell in love with this memory and these photographs reflect the super sweet, tenderness they have for one another.
